Location and directions

Lundskógar is in the forest at Lundskógur, in the Fnjóskadalur valley in North Iceland, about 20 km and a 20 minute drive from Akureyri.

Getting here

From Akureyri
Drive towards Húsavík through the Vaðlaheiðargöng tunnel, then turn right towards Lundskógur straight after it.
Tunnel toll
Vaðlaheiðargöng is a toll road with no booth at the tunnel. Pay online at veggjald.is within 24 hours before or after you drive through.
Final approach
The house and its access road are new and do not show on Google Maps yet. Follow the map pin, which is sent again with your arrival details.
Winter
Lundskógur has a winter snow-clearing service.
